Hey everyone, it's your two favorite Geminis here. We're just here with a quick, quick disclaimer about the upcoming episode that some people might find some portions of it emotionally triggering,
Brooklyn:and we would also like to note that this video is intended for informational and entertainment purposes only, and it should not be taken as professional advice.
Keshia:Yes, these are our own personal opinions and experiences.
Brooklyn:Thanks for listening.
Keshia:Love you, ma. Hello everyone. Welcome back to two Geminis with mics where these two Geminis explore different topics of the cosmos through astrology and tarot. Um, today we're just gonna do a t. Uh, and tarot. So we're gonna, you've seen it Before we pull a card, uh, this time we're gonna pull two cards. Uh, Brooklyn is gonna pull an Oracle card and I'm gonna pull a tarot card and we're gonna see, uh, and then we'll discuss the lines where they enter, cross update you on our lives, um, and go from there. How are you doing?
Brooklyn:Hi.
Keshia:from you.
Brooklyn:How are you, Keisha?
Keshia:You know,
Brooklyn:We're here. We
Keshia:we're, we're alive. We've survived 2025 up to this point, which is saying something. Oh my God,
Brooklyn:It's been a banner year as they've been calling it
Keshia:oh my God.
Brooklyn:astrological world.
Keshia:Like history in the making. Like we're just watching history. I, nobody told me history in the making would be so stressful
Brooklyn:Literally
Keshia:like put you in fight and flight.
Brooklyn:constant, constant fight and flight for the last two years. We come out of it and then go back into it.
Keshia:Yes, exactly.
Brooklyn:I'm so grateful for the tool belts or the tools that we have in our belts right now.'cause learning how
Keshia:Yeah.
Brooklyn:manage, fight and flight has definitely been top priority on our lists.
Keshia:And probably one of the hardest, I gotta find something softer to put my mug down on.'cause I just watched. Yeah, I'm gonna use my mouse pad.
Brooklyn:There we go.
Keshia:It's gross anyway, so if it gets tea on it. Um, oh my god, my post-its, I lost, sorry. I also work at this desk. Um, yeah. So first we'll get pulling our cards I guess. Do you want me to go first?
Brooklyn:Yeah, you go first
Keshia:Okay.'cause that's gonna kind of decide our topic. Um,
Brooklyn:because she's doing a tarot card and then I'm gonna do an Oracle card.
Keshia:I'm using Golden Art, Novo Tarot. This is like one of my favorites. So the box is like Hagar and missing pieces.
Brooklyn:I love it. The gold foil
Keshia:Yeah.
Brooklyn:cards
Keshia:I love them.
Brooklyn:the best. I don't have
Keshia:Oh my god.
Brooklyn:it's on my top list. I want one so bad.
Keshia:Two of ones.
Brooklyn:Aw, beautiful.
Keshia:We will, I'll read the full description of that after we get the Oracle card. Um, so while you're pulling that, um, we can talk about our lives and I'll also look up, um. The specific meaning for this where if you were to Google it, what you would get kind of thing? Um, for me it's basically when I see this card, I think of decision making, maybe Chris creative decision making or active decision making. Um, trying to make that plan for the step forward, which is kind of. Funny, it's like, uh, mercury retrograde is changing all my plans right now, so, um, we're just in the shadow phases of Mercury retrograde, but over the course of the coming weeks, we're gonna see that go backwards and everything, um, have to be revisited
Brooklyn:Yes, and I'm just gonna put a date timestamp on it because we've been doing that
Keshia:Yes, please.
Brooklyn:astro girlies. Um, it is July 6th, 2025 and the time that we started recording was 11:00 AM Current time right now is 1104.
Keshia:I was like,
Brooklyn:all you astro people know.
Keshia:we're in different time zones, so I was like,
Brooklyn:Oh
Keshia:it's 1204. Thanks anyway. Okay. I'm not taking the AI response because I just, no. Um,
Brooklyn:AI as much as
Keshia:yeah.
Brooklyn:because we
Keshia:not saying we don't, but we try not to.
Brooklyn:definitely.
Keshia:okay, so for two of ones, um, this is just the description. The upright meaning of the two oh ones would be considered, um, a more mature vision of the a o ones, meaning that this tarot card is all about planning and moving forward progression. Look at it this way, if you have already set out to achieve a particular task, which means you have turned an idea into a realistic plan, such as a plan will require fulfillment, such a plan will require fulfillment, and therefore you have to progress from just having the plan to actually achieving what you set out for discovering a. Discovery is being considered as another two of wands, meaning this is because it means that you're stepping out of the cocoon and exploring new experiences and worlds. While the beginning might seem tough and difficult, the two of Wands cards encourages to strive and push forward. There is some more there. This is from the website we always typically go to read from because it's something that I used a lot when I was learning. Um, yeah, right there. Le Le.
Brooklyn:I
Keshia:Lab.
Brooklyn:say it either.
Keshia:Me either Laos, L-A-B-Y-R-I-N-T-H-O-S. And it's a very popular, it has an app in everything. Very popular website.
Brooklyn:Yes.
Keshia:I don't use the app. I kind of don't need to use this for reference anymore, but, um, I like to read it out in case somebody wants specifics. My nose is already running.
Brooklyn:I like also just going through it to be reminded of the terms are because I use reversal and upright, um, and sometimes I get the two mixed up. So for me, I use it for reference all the time.
Keshia:Mm-hmm.
Brooklyn:But yeah, I feel like that is just so beautiful because we have slowly trying to come back and re-figure out, um, a consistent schedule for the podcast. But with the way that this year has turned out, of us haven't been able to get
Keshia:Oh my God. Oh
Brooklyn:other than in
Keshia:my God.
Brooklyn:We were together once this year in person. But then took that as an opportunity to go full vacation mode
Keshia:Yeah, we didn't do that at all, which we usually do anyway. We're like, we'll record, we'll get a bunch of content, it'll be great, and then we just end up hanging out.'cause we don't get to do that very often. Um, my, um, my arm for my microphone is actually still in pieces from that trip down there, so. Yeah, I'm using, I don't have the fancy arm. I've also lost my spot because I now have, um, I have like a support thing for my screen, so I can't turn it around. And Fred is loving that. He gets to steal my podcast chair, so it, I guess it's a win-win. Um, anyway, what, uh, what car did you pull?
Brooklyn:Oh, I haven't even pulled one yet.
Keshia:Oh.
Brooklyn:Um,
Keshia:If you don't keep us on task, what do you think's gonna happen? Oh, no. Well, not, oh no. Oh, that's weird. Um, so she, 19
Brooklyn:Ooh.
Keshia:I, she pulled from what deck again?
Brooklyn:Oh, sorry. This is
Keshia:crow
Brooklyn:Keisha got me for my birthday last year or the year before
Keshia:time has blurred together. I don't even remember.
Brooklyn:in the last year or two. just gonna move it so everyone can see the full
Keshia:So urban Crow, Oracle for those who aren't watching the video, um, you're good. Uh, yeah. So, um, yeah, I like pulling an oracle and a tarot because then it almost shows you like the topic of the tarot card. That it's really, I feel like it gives you that double up sense
Brooklyn:Mm-hmm.
Keshia:where you're like, oh, okay, wants me to look at this angle.
Brooklyn:Yes.
Keshia:freedom.
Brooklyn:with, the two of Wands and then Freedom, two of Wands leaving comfort, taking risk making decisions, first steps, planning freedom. Um,
Keshia:All those things are almost required if you're feeling like you don't have freedom and you,
Brooklyn:well, and like
Keshia:in this objective sense of what freedom means to us, probably in Canada. Um.
Brooklyn:And this podcast for me and you like, this is taught me, this is where we get to be free. This is our freedom. Like this is,
Keshia:freedom of speech too. It's really acting on that. And like, again, referencing back to, I've often been going through my life lately and just like trying to look at things from a perspective of not having those rights as a woman, um, because I'm gonna say it, Handmaid's Tale changed my life.
Brooklyn:Yeah.
Keshia:It changed my life. Like it, did it mess up my brain a little bit? Yes, probably. It's a little traumatic. It's a little traumatic, but like this is why stories are so important. They change people's life.
Brooklyn:Mm-hmm.
Keshia:life, and it literally, oh my god,
Brooklyn:It
Keshia:so much perspective.
Brooklyn:to realize, hello,
Keshia:Yeah.
Brooklyn:not as safe as we may seem. And not only us, but people around the world.
Keshia:Yeah,
Brooklyn:to advocate for people around the world because we are safe and we want every human being to be as safe as we are.
Keshia:and I think there's always going to be people in our world, in our universe or whatever, that they want to rule over people. They want to harm other people. They don't. It's not for the better of the good. It's for the better of them.
Brooklyn:Agreed.
Keshia:And it's just like. Why we all believed we all bleed the same damn color. It's, we're all people, we all have the same organs. Like what the hell guys?
Brooklyn:yep.
Keshia:It's truly none of our business.
Brooklyn:blood is blood. We are all made up of the same
Keshia:yeah. And especially like if you get down to it on a cellular level like it, but again, it's just. Yeah. Anyway, the hate in the world right now is, um, it's getting to me,
Brooklyn:Mm-hmm.
Keshia:heart. Yeah.
Brooklyn:I'm gonna quickly read the'cause. In Oracle cards, every card represents a different meaning in whichever deck that you're pulling. So 19 in this Oracle deck doesn't necessarily mean 19 in a different Oracle
Keshia:Mm-hmm.
Brooklyn:Um, so,
Keshia:would almost put it as, um, tarot decks are like a, like you can get almost any message from a tarot. Like it might not be the actual meaning. You might look at something, see that world and like in the picture and derive something different. Whereas an oracle deck comes with a actual red out, meaning that you don't necessarily have to fill the lines all in with
Brooklyn:It comes with a message.
Keshia:Yeah. Which she's gonna read.
Brooklyn:So this one was 19 Freedom. Freedom brings the message that you do not need to stay where you are. You can change your position, you can rise up and see the world from a different point of view. You have the wings. All you need is the desire and self-confidence to fly. brings momentum. Flexibility and ability to expand your horizons, whether it is freedom to travel, freedom to make decisions at work, or freedom to splurge on your favorite meal, I'm getting goosebumps all over my freaking body when this card appears. You need to ask yourself some questions. In which areas of your life would you like to expand your freedom? What is your definition of freedom?
Keshia:Ooh.
Brooklyn:bulls everywhere. Ooh, I love that.
Keshia:my God. Well that fits really well with the two.
Brooklyn:It does
Keshia:Yep.
Brooklyn:is like, this is why I love spirit. This is why I love tarot. This is why I love astrology, is because you can sit there and pretend that it's not real, and then do this stuff like we didn't plan. Keisha just randomly pulled a card. I randomly pulled a card. And like, look how beautiful it just fit
Keshia:Yeah, and we didn't plan, well, we planned today,
Brooklyn:Mm-hmm.
Keshia:we didn't know what day we were actually gonna sit down and do this. And I realized this morning I'm having a transit that completely supports this, and it wasn't. Perfectly planned.
Brooklyn:No. Well,
Keshia:Like we just did it.
Brooklyn:weekend, but we weren't sure if it was gonna be Saturday or Sunday. And the fact that it just like happened to be. that we actually got our shit together.
Keshia:I mean, that's still up for debate, but like we're here
Brooklyn:Yeah, I had my period and I was taken out yesterday. So.
Keshia:and I, I work a 40 hour, hour work week, so by the end of the weekend I'm like. Or the week, I'm like, my spoons are gone. I don't have any left. My mental, my mental health is just gone. So, um, yeah, I, uh, it's, it's a wild ride. But I think like, as we move forward, um, it's also kind of calling us out a little bit with the podcast, like, you wanna do this, you want to, you enjoy this. So you either make time for it and make those decisions to make time for it, or you just don't do it.
Brooklyn:Yep. your hard
Keshia:Oh God. I hate that sentence actually. I love that sentence, but it's just, it bites me in the ass so much. Like constantly. I just was like, like living at home with people is hard, but so is living on your own.'cause then you have no help. Just like.
Brooklyn:Literally like when you live alone, you have more time to let things go and let things slide. Like for me, when I lived alone, oh my God, I would like let things slide, let things just pilled up and
Keshia:Yeah,
Brooklyn:And then when you live with people.
Keshia:especially a Virgo.
Brooklyn:Yep. You have certain responsibilities and just things have to be perfect.
Keshia:Yeah, I'm also living with a Virgo. It's driving me nuts.
Brooklyn:Yeah. They like things a certain way. So,
Keshia:Geez.
Brooklyn:I'm a Virgo rising, so I can let things slide until a certain, and then it just like eats me and then everything has to be set in order perfectly.
Keshia:You are also like a Virgo rising with the ruling planet being Mercury. So if you take that mercury and you add the flavor of a Libra where yours is, right, yours is in Libra, you're
Brooklyn:Yep.
Keshia:gonna get more of a people pleasing Virgo than a Capricorn rising,
Brooklyn:Shocker.
Keshia:right? Like.
Brooklyn:People pleasing me.
Keshia:Oh my. Why do you think we're friends? Why do you think we're friends? I think our friendship worked so well because we like met each other and then we would just, people please each other.
Brooklyn:Constantly. And like we fed off of it. So it was like, oh my God,
Keshia:We still do it like,
Brooklyn:that itch, I'll scratch your itch. And constantly
Keshia:yeah,
Brooklyn:feeding each other. Oh my God.
Keshia:got you this present so that I'm gonna get you a present. It is like, that doesn't need to happen.
Brooklyn:And it just keeps going and it just never stops. I'm
Keshia:But I think we've gotten to a point where we don't people please each other just to please each other in the friendship anymore.
Brooklyn:Yes,
Keshia:we've worked past that because it is important, like you have to have boundaries. Um, we don't have many.
Brooklyn:yes.
Keshia:Oh, did that just skip?
Brooklyn:No. Uh, I just got a text message
Keshia:Oh, okay.
Brooklyn:into my phone or into my computer.
Keshia:Oh, okay. Yeah,
Brooklyn:It's okay.
Keshia:for a second everything kind of froze and I was like, oh, we're going, oh hi Mercury.
Brooklyn:Literally, we'll see how that plays out.
Keshia:Now that we're starting, but they do say if you have Mercury retrograde in your chart, which I have, you don't, which is weird.
Brooklyn:I have no retrograde plans in my chart,
Keshia:Which is very weird. Is your, is your, are your nodes retrograde? Lemme look.
Brooklyn:I, I don't think so. I think they were just about to,'cause I think I.
Keshia:But you were born close to a Mars retrograde, so you have a very hard retrograde in your progression chart,
Brooklyn:Yes.
Keshia:is wild. Anyway,
Brooklyn:And didn't the Mars retrograde happen? I think it happened during the accident or right before the accident.
Keshia:would've been like weeks leading up to it. It was because I know somebody else born in that timeframe who actually has the Mars retrograde in their chart. So, yeah, if you're at the eighth, they were born the end of October. So they were It was already retrograde. Yeah, it was already retrograde.
Brooklyn:Mm-hmm.
Keshia:Um,
Brooklyn:been in the shadow phase of the retrograde,
Keshia:so like
Brooklyn:actually born in a
Keshia:Yeah. Isn't that
Brooklyn:weird.
Keshia:And that's the thing about astrology. There's never one layer.
Brooklyn:No.
Keshia:so many.
Brooklyn:And a weird thing that I came across today. So, um, I've recently been diving deep into a book of shadows because that's my new thing,
Keshia:Thing.
Brooklyn:just like exploring
Keshia:Oh, your,
Brooklyn:of things.
Keshia:your nodes are retrograde, but that's it.
Brooklyn:Oh, which.
Keshia:Nothing else. Looks like it was.
Brooklyn:Is it
Keshia:Lilith, but I don't think that matters. I don't know what that means to be honest.
Brooklyn:neither. We
Keshia:Not yet.
Brooklyn:enough
Keshia:We're still learning
Brooklyn:yet.
Keshia:anyway.
Brooklyn:But we love her, but
Keshia:love her.
Brooklyn:do
Keshia:her. Yeah.
Brooklyn:um, you don't wanna work. I don't think you would wanna work against her. I would rather
Keshia:No, I think there's, um, something to be said about algo, the thick star that my moon's on. I think it links to lith in some of the mythology, and I'm like, I feel that in my bones because there's a lot of feminists that have similar placements. I was like, feel that in my bones.
Brooklyn:it seems correct. So I recently found out that every birth hurt is unique to an individual with the replication, like where it can repeat. Every 26,000 years.
Keshia:That's the closest you can get to having a duplicate. Yeah. Unless you're twins. But also twins are minutes apart and things can change.
Brooklyn:literally, and how, like who, there was another, um, Astro person that did twins and just showed how different their lives were. Like Yeah, they were born minutes apart by the same person in the same time zone. they still have completely different lives,
Keshia:And it's how nur, it's nature versus nurture too, or like, is it nature versus nurture or is it, um, there's something to be said about the way people perceive things and no brain is the exact same. Really, so like nobody has your perception of things. Nobody has your experiences and the filter that you filter your viewpoint through. So if you apply that here, yeah, they're not gonna have the same life. They're just not, it's gonna hit differently. They're gonna react differently. They're gonna, everybody just. Experiences the world differently,
Brooklyn:Mm-hmm.
Keshia:I can't decide if that's incredibly lonely or cute. I don't know. Beautiful.
Brooklyn:empowering and unique. I don't know. I love seeing how. Every person is unique, but yet we can still come together. Like me and you, we are so different, but yet we can bond so deeply and have such ideas and come up with like similar. Like this morning, what did we, we
Keshia:Deodorant.
Brooklyn:same. Yes. We were literally just like talk, like get,'cause, uh. In our record mornings, we get ready together just to like set the vibe and we literally pulled out our deodorant at the same time to talk about it. And it was like we weren't even on deodorant. We were way past deodorant. We were like putting on our makeup and we both decided to talk about deodorant at the same fricking time.
Keshia:And I was like, have you seen this deodorant? It's Canadian. It's natural. I was, it actually works. My mom loves it. I bought her, I bought her one with mine. Anyway, she was like, I'm good. I got my crystal. I.
Brooklyn:Yeah. I use a crystal deodorant. It's like been my favorite for years.
Keshia:Yeah, I tried that once upon a time and like I couldn't get past the, the,
Brooklyn:The no deodorant. And it's, it's, it feels, it feels weird at first, I'm
Keshia:the detoxing that has to happen for it to work. Like you have to get all of that, like whatever is in the other deodorant outta your body and like I've noticed that. With a lot of deodorants, like when you switch, like it just takes time.
Brooklyn:Yep. Yep.
Keshia:it's,
Brooklyn:especially if you're using the same deodorant for, I almost said centuries, 40 years for centuries.
Keshia:maybe you're an ancient old witch who drinks the blood of men, Brooklyn,
Brooklyn:I
Keshia:who says they don't need deodorant?
Brooklyn:I don't use deodorant. I just use the blood of my victims.
Keshia:Oh my God.
Brooklyn:Just kidding.
Keshia:Don't say that stuff. You're too pretty for jail. Uh, disclaimer, we wouldn't be yelling about that on the podcast if it were true
Brooklyn:Obviously
Keshia:people. Crazy, man.
Brooklyn:people are crazy. I'm even more crazy though, so watch yourself.
Keshia:Oh man. I do say I'm the grounded one in the two. Who,
Brooklyn:I am all
Keshia:what happened there? My, it's like your spirit guides like tried to choke me out for saying that. I was like, so stupid. I love it.
Brooklyn:love it.
Keshia:Anyway, back to the tarot card. Um, so for me, um, decisions. I've been trying to decide if I'm going on vacation this year again. Um, which for people is like, oh my God, spoiled. But I mean, in the fact like the two options are either go on vacation or b start my chart readings that I've been putting off for years. So like, but I, it seems like the universe has taken that outta my hands'cause things have changed and my vacation's now getting canceled for, um. Reasons not my own, but like also I'm okay with the nudge. Like there's a lot of work I need to do so that time is time I can take from work now to work on something for myself. And I think that's some of the decision decisions you have to make in order to get your freedom because like I need something that's gonna fill my cup and make life worth living. And a nine to five. It is not that for somebody else, working for somebody else in another company. Like that's just not it for me. Um, the people I work with are fabulous. Like I am quite lucky. Um, I need another tissue. It's probably from not wearing makeup for like centuries.
Brooklyn:I know that's
Keshia:my God.
Brooklyn:now
Keshia:They're like,
Brooklyn:oh my God. It's been happening for centuries.
Keshia:been happening for centuries.
Brooklyn:I love it.
Keshia:It's never gonna die. It's never gonna die. That's going on a t-shirt
Brooklyn:oh my
Keshia:for centuries.
Brooklyn:centuries also. That's
Keshia:Write that down.
Brooklyn:the, yes, I will. That's like one of our things that I want to get started this fall is like making silly little t-shirts.'cause love t-shirts for one.
Keshia:I do, I do. I got one from Etsy and I paid way too much money for it, but it's like one of my favorite things.'cause it literally says, um. Baking because murder is wrong. And I baked bread yesterday'cause murder is wrong.
Brooklyn:It's so true. clean and cook because
Keshia:Yep.
Brooklyn:I'm too pretty for jail.
Keshia:I tell you all the time I can't visit you got too much anxiety. Can't visit you.
Brooklyn:And we can't do FaceTime in jail either. So.
Keshia:That's the only way we keep in touch. There's no WhatsApp. Lord, save us. Um, ooh, I just got chills. Um, yeah, where do, where, what else do we wanna talk about? About this freedom decisions? Oh, one thing that's really come up for me is, um,
Brooklyn:My recent freedom.
Keshia:oh, sure. For, for me, it's, uh. The amount of choice we have is a freedom most people do not get. Being paralyzed by freedom is a, uh, blessing.
Brooklyn:Well, and it's a real thing. Sometimes you have too much freedom. You're like, what do I do with this?
Keshia:paralyzed by choice is such a beautiful, spoiled way to have to live your life.
Brooklyn:mm-hmm.
Keshia:Because some people don't fucking get that, and I keep having to tell myself that when I get paralyzed. How lucky are you to be paralyzed by choices when you have so much freedom? And then I'm like, you know what? Okay. Maybe I let myself be in this free state for another day.'cause I will go into a free state. Like it's just my PTSD thing. Like, I, I can't move. That's part of the reason, like we don't get this done all the time is'cause by the end of the fucking week, you're out of spoons. Like I just talk to people all week, probably at therapy. Took my dog for a walk. I'm asleep for two days. Not really, it's probably video games, but.
Brooklyn:The
Keshia:Or tv.
Brooklyn:to sleep.
Keshia:Yeah. I, I need some numbing here. I went out in nature. I need something else. What were you gonna say? You were gonna say something else?
Brooklyn:Um,
Keshia:It's gone. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Brooklyn:gonna say my freedom was me being let go from my job. So it was forced freedom.
Keshia:Sorry to laugh, but we called it, we fucking called it in January. I was like, girl.
Brooklyn:and
Keshia:Mars is retrograding you. This is not gonna ha, this is not gonna last.
Brooklyn:And both of us thought it was me quitting, and then when I got actual fired, I was like the girl.
Keshia:I shouldn't be laughing, but I was like, are we surprised? I was like, why do we have the goal to be surprised? We fucking predicted this.
Brooklyn:Literally. So I've been. Doing good. I've been rocking out, trying different things, seeing what sticks, throwing things against the roof, seeing which
Keshia:isn't
Brooklyn:fall.
Keshia:it? Isn't it wall?
Brooklyn:No spaghetti on the roof. You've
Keshia:No. Isn't it spaghetti on the wall?
Brooklyn:Oh no. You wait. You throw it on the roof.
Keshia:No. You throw it on the wall. You tea me.
Brooklyn:And there's gonna be so many people that are be like, why are you throwing spaghetti?
Keshia:Why are you throwing spaghetti at the roof? You can't get her off the roof.
Brooklyn:Oh, and I'm thinking because in the basements that I used to live in the walls, we only had the roof. The walls were like
Keshia:Yeah.
Brooklyn:It was like wood,
Keshia:Yeah. I forgot about that.
Brooklyn:And I never actually thrown it on the roof,
Keshia:I've never thrown spaghetti at anything on purpose.
Brooklyn:that was like one of the things growing up was like my grandma, she'd be like, yeah, you just throw it on the roof and if it falls, it's not, you keep cooking it. If it doesn't fall, you're good to go. And I'm like, how do you get it off of the roof?
Keshia:Did she actually fricking do that? What
Brooklyn:Once or twice, like not very often, but occasionally.
Keshia:I've never, I've never, I've never done it on the wall, but like with my, what's the word I. Vertical challenged. I'm vertically challenged. I ain't throwing anything on the roof. I can't reach the top cupboard. I'm not doing that. Anyway
Brooklyn:Well, a
Keshia:happens,
Brooklyn:it on the roof because it's gonna fall down. You know, it needs to keep cooking.
Keshia:but what if it doesn't fall down and then you just go,
Brooklyn:you know it's done,
Keshia:you get a broom.
Brooklyn:you just wait for it to fall down or crust off,
Keshia:Yeah. I was like, what if it just drives?
Brooklyn:then you chip it off with a broom.
Keshia:Okay. I don't know where to go with this anymore.
Brooklyn:Spaghetti.
Keshia:Oh no. I want spaghetti. Um, ooh. All I Alfredo, um, K TAUs. Um, yeah, so she got fired.
Brooklyn:Yeah, so I've been just like chilling, exploring my options. Um. I found a new job, but it's part-time, so I've been looking for just something else to do during the week. Um,
Keshia:So Brooklyn's gonna take care of most of our editing, thank God, because she's the one that's talented with it. Anyway,
Brooklyn:Well, and I have so much free time.
Keshia:I'm over here just trying to survive.
Brooklyn:It's like, here, you don't need to work. Here you go.
Keshia:Like
Brooklyn:like, oh, okay.
Keshia:maybe
Brooklyn:it was an obvious, um,
Keshia:redirection.
Brooklyn:yes. Like, you
Keshia:Yeah.
Brooklyn:when something isn't right and then the universe is like,
Keshia:Screaming.
Brooklyn:now,
Keshia:Screaming. Yeah. Like you're like, like I know a lot of, yeah, I'm like waiting for that boot in the face, but I think I got one going into therapy, so I'm wondering if I've got another one coming. Because that was definitely a boot in the face, like 22, 20 22, 20 23. Like my nervous system just fucking crashed and like that's been building up. So I'm like, at what point do you think the universe is gonna drop? Kick me again?
Brooklyn:Yeah, it does happen occasionally. It doesn't happen all the time, but
Keshia:No, no.
Brooklyn:it, apparently
Keshia:like, I mean, yeah, I mean like, who am I? Right? Like I. I know, I mean it sometimes I get very, um, in my space
Brooklyn:Comfortable.
Keshia:is going into Gemini tomorrow for the first time with July 7th. So, um, it's gonna be there I think till October before it retrogrades back out. But yeah, that's a big transition. It only happens like every seven years and I know it's gonna make a big impact on my chart'cause it's going from a quiet place. Quiet, it's definitely responsible for the, uh, EMDR going through. So like,'cause like what, what is what says foundational shaking train change besides EMDR. And that's Uranus?
Brooklyn:like
Keshia:Yeah.
Brooklyn:rebuilt all of your structures.
Keshia:In my brain. Yeah, you're like completely remapping your brain and creating new neural pathways and like I'll tell my therapist I did something different and she's just like, oh, you're building new neural pathways. I'm like, I'm fucking exhausted. Okay.
Brooklyn:to nap for weeks.
Keshia:Yeah, like I'm like, cool. Can't say, can't post that on social media. Thank. Not getting married or buying a house, but I'm building new neuro pathways and I'm tired. Um, but to spin off of that, um, where it's going into Gemini now it's coming out of that quiet place in my chart, which actually had most of my planets. So it wasn't really quiet for me, but it's an internal spot in your chart. So it's behind the scenes and now it's going into a much more. Louder place in my first house. So I think, um, I'm nervous, but I'm like trying to be, you can't change it. It's coming.
Brooklyn:Yeah. Well, and what we've both learned with astrology is that it's gonna happen regardless,
Keshia:yeah.
Brooklyn:we can prepare for it all we want, but we're still not gonna be prepared.
Keshia:Yeah. It is probably not gonna be the way you think it is.
Brooklyn:It never is.
Keshia:No.
Brooklyn:It will be like with a hint, then there's a whole other aspect. You're like, how did
Keshia:Didn't see that coming in. Yeah. And I was like talking to Brooklyn about this, so I think I know what this transit is. I was like sending her WhatsApps. I wish I could save that video. I can't. Um, and an or flew by an orb. I've never had that happen before. It's just was like, I was like, I guess that's what the transit's about. We were like. Spirit, is that you? Is that you anyway?
Brooklyn:I know. It's so wild.
Keshia:Oh my God,
Brooklyn:wonderful though, just to like, it's comforting to know that we don't have control and stuff is just gonna happen way it was destined to happen,
Keshia:yeah.
Brooklyn:that we have like a little bit of free will. So if I do want to get in my car and go have an ice cream, I can.
Keshia:Imagine, imagine be like, we didn't have that type of free will. We were just like, I want an ice cream. Nope. Too bad. There'd just be a voice. You would be like, screw you, you're not getting your ice cream today. Too bad. Um, I'm really excited to, uh, dip into the world that is exact sical releasing, which is again, one of those layers of astrology. Because I want to see,'cause I've heard many times from both Chris Brennan through the podcast, I don't know these people, uh, Chris Brennan and Lisa Che talked about it on a lot of their podcasts on the Astrology podcast of how it challenges your view on fate and fortune and free will, fate, fortune, and free will like what you're born with, the fortune you're born with certain things being faded and where does free will come into it. And that's what I'm, I just, yeah. Fuck me up. Fuck me up for this. I wanna know.
Brooklyn:Definitely.
Keshia:Alright.
Brooklyn:like I told her this morning and I'm like, Free will? Because it was just like.
Keshia:Really though.
Brooklyn:we like, as much as we try to plan things like, and like, that's what I feel like our free will is, is like, yeah, we've planned everything. But then yesterday my cramps were too bad and I just needed, I just needed
Keshia:And hundreds of editing, like, what's the word? Obstacles, like we've,
Brooklyn:God.
Keshia:we haven't disappeared completely. We've been trying to get something out since February, and we still have them that I think we're gonna release, even though it's like slightly not greatly dated.
Brooklyn:It's not dated, it's
Keshia:No.
Brooklyn:it and it's a little bit, it's from February, but everything is still accurate and relevant,
Keshia:Yeah. So we're,
Brooklyn:eerie.
Keshia:and we put a lot, we put a lot of work into that episode. Like I think we still have a lot of learning to do as far as like our research and our, like the, I can't even use the word research now. Um.
Brooklyn:I, I use it too much now.
Keshia:Yeah,
Brooklyn:like, our research,
Keshia:somebody in our lives, I will not say who
Brooklyn:out.
Keshia:us out on it. It's not research. You're not in a scientific lab. And I was like,
Brooklyn:I
Keshia:valid.
Brooklyn:have a lab coat on As soon as I
Keshia:We
Brooklyn:house coat on,
Keshia:should just put, we should get like house coats that look like lab coats anyway. Um, and like, I mean, his point was valid in one way, but also it's just the easy way to, it's the easy way to describe it. It wasn't valid, um, from a technical standpoint. It was valid technical, but I don't know what else to.
Brooklyn:I feel like I have a microscope and a lab coat and all of the beacons, um, where you mix the tubes
Keshia:And Jesus Christ.
Brooklyn:like a mad scientist.
Keshia:Uh, um, yeah, I have to do with you. But, um, yeah. So, but we like, we have a lot to learn in that aspect of how we want to do and make sure accuracy and this, that and the other thing. So like, I mean, we got like things to learn, but I'm pretty proud of that episode. Um,
Brooklyn:Definitely.
Keshia:we've been trying, but. Again, it comes back to that fate free will. And a lot of times, a lot of the videos I've watched on, like, again, sical releasing, they talk about how, um, how it blurs those lines. Like what do we have control over? But a lot of the times it almost looks like you could be trying to do something and until the stars literally align. In a way so-called that term only broadly works here, but, um, it's true. Like until the stars line up in your chart, sometimes that wiggle room or that push forward doesn't actually happen or that space to do that thing isn't there.
Brooklyn:Yeah
Keshia:really interesting.
Brooklyn:it is.'cause it was so difficult for us. In like the first half of this year and the aspo, astrology, astrology podcast warned us and we knew
Keshia:they were like, don't try to do it.
Brooklyn:we knew it was gonna be a bumpy year, and we're like, we got each other, we got this, we still have each other. We've
Keshia:The podcast is like, man,
Brooklyn:It's been hanging on by a thread.
Keshia:like fingernails. I, speaking of fingernails, I haven't painted my nails in like three
Brooklyn:Bear nails. Oh
Keshia:Yeah, I know. I went out.
Brooklyn:people gonna
Keshia:Right. I went out to lunch with, uh, some friends from an old job or breakfast and they were, they all had their nails done and somebody commented like, oh, you guys all have beautiful nails. I was like,
Brooklyn:You're like
Keshia:they were like, are you okay? Yeah, I don't know. And now I'm scared to put anything on and be like, sensory overload.'cause it's been like two months anyway.
Brooklyn:I
Keshia:Uh, yeah. Since my birthday.
Brooklyn:I've been wanting to get fake nails again, but I'm like, I go back to that, that will drive me nuts.'cause now I'm just used to just like, as soon as they get like, oh my God, as soon as they get this long, I just like chop'em down
Keshia:Yeah.
Brooklyn:can like
Keshia:I like,
Brooklyn:my finger again,
Keshia:I've already filed these. Yeah. Oh my God. Anyway, we're good. Lucky, I guess, but it's annoying.
Brooklyn:I know. So annoying fingers, nails, women
Keshia:What
Brooklyn:well, just like how we are. Like we can't just like, well, we can just have basic nails and cut them down, but
Keshia:you think?
Brooklyn:of women, but the representation of women nowadays, like having nails and your hair
Keshia:Oh, like, you mean it feels like it has to be in order to be, in order to be well taken care of. Perhaps.
Brooklyn:yes.
Keshia:I,
Brooklyn:just me and I'm like,
Keshia:I struggled with this because like I was always a girly girl. I. Like, I loved all that shit, but I'm noticing that as I'm aging and also my brain's changing, you know, new neural pathways, fuck ice, uh, um, I'm noticing that. I'm like, I'm growing out of things, but I'm having a hard time letting'em go. Like, I know I don't really love having wing dialing anymore. Like it just doesn't quite feel right to me, but I'm too lazy to change it. You know what I mean? Like there's, there's things that I'm, I, I want to be doing aesthetically and I'm like, do I still want nails? And I think the important thing is whether or not you're doing it for you. And I think a lot of those questions are paralyzing my right now. And like you can see it in my chart with the Ven, the Venus being really active this year and like there's just a whole mess, mess of shit. That I've talked to Brooklyn about, about this, but I think that it's, it's coming from there. So I'm very much like, what's for me, what's for everybody else? I refuse to do any of this if it's not just for me. And then I also had like a little internet gremlin come at me about like my type of feminism. And then that made me question all my feminism. I'm like, you know what? As long as people are participating and believing that women need equal rights, I don't give what fuck what kind of feminism you have. It's, it's about equal rights. Guys, come on. Don't.
Brooklyn:can flip it. And just because we're white doesn't
Keshia:Yes.
Brooklyn:Wom white, womens white feminisms.
Keshia:Yeah. She called it white, white feminism. And I was like,
Brooklyn:And it's like, we are white. How are we supposed to take it any other way? Like
Keshia:I was like, I, but I am white.
Brooklyn:of other people,
Keshia:Yeah. I was like, I, I am white.
Brooklyn:who I am. We're trying to change the trajectory of the way that the way
Keshia:Yeah. But you know what?
Brooklyn:I can, and we're like, we can't. It's all, we can't change who we are because someone wants us to change who we are. Like this is the
Keshia:Yeah,
Brooklyn:This is
Keshia:exactly.
Brooklyn:this lifetime.
Keshia:Do you?
Brooklyn:leave it.
Keshia:But you know what I realized, like days after that I was like, that person had, uh, it's a, there's a name on the type of account where they, there's nothing descriptive about that person there. The only reason they could tell is'cause I have a profile picture. So I'm like, for all I knew you were a 40-year-old white man.
Brooklyn:Probably, probably.
Keshia:Criticizing the way that I do feminism just for a laugh, and I was like, that's actually pretty sad, man. I kind of feel bad for that person.
Brooklyn:I find that the ones that go after the feminists are either the young Privileged men that haven't experienced anything or the white old privileged men that haven't experienced anything and think that everything's about them, like both of'em. And those are the ones that I get attacked by, like, not physically attacked, but like troll attacks online. And then I'm like, your opinion does not matter because you don't come from where I'm coming from
Keshia:Yeah,
Brooklyn:I will take some time, but if you don't have the empathy to understand where I'm coming from, I'm not gonna be able to change your mind or
Keshia:no, and that's just it. If they don't have the perception or the empathy to even. Reflect and put themselves in your shoes. You're having a conversation that doesn't even, it's just a waste of your energy.
Brooklyn:Yep.
Keshia:heard, don't catch the ball of shit.'cause then you've also got shit on your hands. And I was like, I'm gonna use that or don't wrestle the pig in shit.'cause then you're also full of shit and only the pig enjoys it. Also, Justin aside, um, Fred is dreaming right now, so if you hear whining. He's fine. My dog is fine. He's just dreaming in the chair over there and his, he's like chasing a squirrel or something. His paws are doing this anyway.
Brooklyn:Uh, frolicking through
Keshia:just frolicking, uh, anyway, uh, should we tie up the episode for the day?
Brooklyn:Yeah. Yeah. I wanted to take it one more. so if you go deeper into the of two of wands
Keshia:Oh.
Brooklyn:in your career.
Keshia:Oh no.
Brooklyn:Planning your career,
Keshia:no.
Brooklyn:first steps in your career,
Keshia:no.
Brooklyn:your dreams. I'm like, oh my God, that is so cute.
Keshia:Oh, shit.
Brooklyn:what am I doing?
Keshia:We're both just like at an impasse too. I think. We're like, okay, we've been saying it for years. We either do it or we don't fucking do it.
Brooklyn:Yep. And we have found that this gives us so much joy. Like for me this morning, it was like Christmas morning, I was like so giddy, so excited.
Keshia:She like texted me. She was like, Hey. I was like, but she like won't say anything about the podcast. She's just like dipping her toe in trying to see if I'm awake.
Brooklyn:testing the water. Are
Keshia:Like, Hey, is, is your brain working today?
Brooklyn:When we hang out, I'm like the one that's up at like crack ass of dawn, like
Keshia:It is so bad guys.
Brooklyn:and like when we hung out, um, for her birthday, I would like go and just try to like let her wake up. But I'm like sitting there with my cup of coffee waiting for her. I'm like, she awake. Is she awake?
Keshia:She and like she, when we were together, she had blown up a bunch of balloons and they kept spontaneously popping in the middle of the night and like she sleeps through everything. So even though I'm the one that sleeps later, she sleeps harder somehow. Like I've never seen some. She slept through multiple balloons popping in Brooklyn. That's insane. Anyway,
Brooklyn:I am like dead at night, like dead asleep. Me.
Keshia:yeah, I
Brooklyn:I hit that pillow, I'm
Keshia:So she would wake up to my text. Did you hear that? She'd be like,
Brooklyn:hear nothing.
Keshia:I didn't hear that
Brooklyn:In the morning, I'd go clean up all the like balloons like that have
Keshia:so bad.
Brooklyn:Oh my God. I did not
Keshia:Oh,
Brooklyn:through. I
Keshia:so funny.
Brooklyn:happy that I didn't blow up all 200 balloons. It was only 15
Keshia:I helped with some of them and then I got like partway through and I was like, I don't think I'm sober enough for this.
Brooklyn:is the one that said, she's like, I don't know if this is a good idea. I don't think we should blow up all balloons. And then the next. It was either that night or the next morning, they slowly started to pop as like,'cause where we were staying, we were staying on a lake and it's all windows, so it would get super hot and it
Keshia:Oh my God.
Brooklyn:the balloons until they exploded.
Keshia:did get the AC working, but it was early enough in the year that it didn't matter.
Brooklyn:Thank God they
Keshia:The,
Brooklyn:got the AC going as we were leaving.
Keshia:yeah. That guy showed up and you're like, I was like
Brooklyn:Two
Keshia:naked in the room. She was like, don't come out.
Brooklyn:Two hours before we checked out, they came and
Keshia:Yeah.
Brooklyn:us and I'm like, now you check in on us. Thanks guys.
Keshia:I'm like, guys, we are leaving. I am pretty sure the neighbors were checking in on us, though. We're pretty sure they,
Brooklyn:definitely.
Keshia:the thing and it seemed like it might have been one of their cabins that we rented,
Brooklyn:Yep.
Keshia:but we were pretty mellow, like we're not.
Brooklyn:it was, it's us. People are
Keshia:It was us and desserts.
Brooklyn:literally
Keshia:Yeah, there was a lot of cake. Did you eat the rest of the cake yet?
Brooklyn:cake. didn't freeze very well. I know I still have one more slice. In the FRI freezer, you have to eat frozen, and it hurts my teeth, so
Keshia:You know what? If that one has to go in the garbage, I wouldn't be mad.
Brooklyn:I'm saving it for a hot day. I'm still not ready to let go of it.
Keshia:Okay. Okay. Um, anyway, I guess with that we'll get ready to sign off. Uh, did we wanna dive into anything else before we I don't think so.
Brooklyn:Um,
Keshia:There's always next time exercise.
Brooklyn:there's always next time, and right now I'm drawing a blank. I can't think of anything else.
Keshia:That's a sign from Spirit. We're gonna take that and dip out.
Brooklyn:Yep.
Keshia:Alright everyone, it was nice chatting with you. We hope you enjoyed and we hope to see you next time. Um, come back and chat with these two Geminis. Bye. Love you.
